Student Surveys Share Struggles With Food Insecurity

At the end of year academic year participating families complete anonymous surveys about their experience with the program. The goal of these surveys is to learn how we can meet their needs while also gaining a better  understanding of the population served. Additionally, we endeavor to learn how we can improve and what to continue. Year after year we receive invaluable feedback from students and their guardians.

The student surveys sometimes include tender and heart breaking stories of a daily struggle to survive. Other times, notes of gratitude and sometimes painfully honest feedback are returned. The guardian surveys, while generally more reserved, also shed light into the lives of their families.

We invite you to take a look below at surveys from the 2017-2018 school year.

“It helps me when my parents can’t afford food. I feel like a better person.”
